Pamela, a lawyer by profession, has over the past 10 years focused on promoting development rights, justice and equity at community, organizational and management levels. Before joining IIRR, she served as the Head of the Human Security Program with ActionAid International Uganda and as Regional Coordinator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Human Rights program. Pamela also sits on the Board and Steering Committee of the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development Rapid Response Fund, an East African regional body. As Country Director, Pamela is involved in designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating projects on food security and nutrition, agri-business, natural resource management, climate change & disaster risk reduction, livelihoods, sexual and reproductive health and education. Uganda Country Office
Peter holds a BA in Environmental Management from Makerere University and postgraduate diplomas in Entrepreneurship and Project Planning and Management from Gulu University. Before joining IIRR, Peter worked as a farmer field school facilitator in Amuru District for both USAID and Catholic Relief Services. He then moved on to World Vision Gulu as Community Hygiene Coordinator and Research Assistant, Caritas Gulu as a field assistant, Danish Refugee Council Gulu as a research assistant, to the World Food Programme in Gulu as a volunteer, Adjumani-Pakelle as a volunteer, Radio King Gulu as a radio presenter on agriculture and environment, Rural Community in Development in Mityana, and finally to VI-Agroforestry as a trainee. Peter brings to IIRR experience in sustainable land management, energy-saving techniques, community needs assessment, participatory rural appraisal, farmers’ field schools, HIV/AIDS management, agribusiness, village savings and loans, animal traction, pro-poor value chain development, and food security.
Daniel has over 9 years experience. He has vast experience providing technical support in the areas of economic empowerment, micro-finance, business development and livelihoods to organizations such as the World Bank, Whitaker Peace and Development Initiative amongst others.
Daniel holds a Master in Business Administration, BA in Public Administration (Human Resources Management), PGD in Computer Science and Information Technology, Diploma in Education, PGD M&E, and various Certificates in Project Planning and Management, SIYB TOT, Enterprise Level Training Program for SMEs, VSLA and Participatory Appraisal of Competitive Advantages (PACA).
Evelyn has over 17 years of experience with International/Non-Governmental Organizations in Finance and Administration. Prior to joining IIRR, Evelyn worked for Action on Disability & Development International (ADD) as the Finance Officer. She is currently studying for a professional qualification with Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and has a certificate in Practical Financial Management for NGOs, and a Finance Officers’ Diploma from Uganda Management Institute.
Ojok works as the Office Assistant/Petty cashier at the Kampala office. He holds a diploma in information technology in Business, Certificate in Graphic Aided Designs, Certificate in Website Designs and Certificate in Computer Repair and Maintenance. He has been working for IIRR for the last 4 years.
Ocaya has worked with IIRR since 2007 as an Office Assistant/Guard and now works as a Driver. He has also acquired skills in typesetting and internet data use. Bosco also assists in marketing and applied learning activities
Andrew has over 13 years of experience in professional driving. Andrew started working with IIRR since 2005. He has a certificate in Maintenance and Car Service course.He has gained experience in dealing with a variety of people, skilled in handling cash and cash transactions and knowledge of the different surrounding areas of Uganda.
Olwoch Christopher holds a Bachelor of Social Work and Social Administration from Uganda Christian University; and pursuing a Master of Business Administration from Uganda Martyrs University. He has over 10 years of hands-on experience in implementation and management of community development projects focused on Community Based Approach to Microfinance and Livelihoods in Uganda. Olwoch Christopher has previously worked as a Socio Economic Strengthening and Business Development Officer for the AVSI USAID SCORE and Bugala Projects. He has also worked with the International Rescue Committee, as a Private Sector Development Officer under the Strengthening Private Sector Engagement in Enterprise Development (SPEED) project in Northern Uganda and Karamoja. email@example.com.
Peter Oceng has over 7 years’ experience in Result Based Monitoring and Evaluation (RBM&E) in organizations managing development programmes focused on community transformation and vulnerability reduction (food security and livelihoods).
Before joining IIRR, Peter Oceng previously worked with CREAM West Nile, AVSI Foundation and UNWFP as M&E Officer, Database Officer and a volunteer, respectively; contributing to setting up M&E systems that works to aid successful implementation of; USAID, GoU, IFAD, DFID, European Union, etc, funded projects.

Rose Nanyondo is pursuing a Master of Arts in Human Rights at Thesis stage on, Women’s Land Rights; the impact of forced eviction in Kayunga District. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Arts with Communication Skills (Major), English Language and Literature from Makerere University; a Diploma in Education (Secondary) with English Double Main from Institute of Teacher Education Kyambogo and Uganda Advanced level and Ordinary level certificates of Education.She has over 10 years’ experience in project planning and implementation, with focus on communication and advocacy at national, sub national and grass root community level.
She previously worked with the Foundation for Human Rights Initiative (FHRI) as Coordinator for Social Accountability programme in 30 districts in Uganda and Project Officer – Communication and Documentation on various youth and women empowerment projects. Muhumuza Alex has been working for IIRR since 2015 as Project Officer-Agribusiness and Value Chain Development under CATALIST Project funded by International Fertilizer Development Centre (IFDC). He has also worked as Sub County NAADS Coordinator with Kanungu District Local Government focusing on food security and Market Oriented farming for improved livelihoods.
He has also worked as a Lecturer, Department of Agribusiness Great Lakes Regional University and later Head of Department, Agribusiness at the same University while empowering doers to transform communities.
Asiku Jimmy holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Science Technology and Management from Kyambogo University. He has 4 years of hands-on experience in implementation and management of community development projects focused on Environment and Natural Resources Management, Climate Chang Adaptation and Disaster Risk in Uganda. He is currently the project officer for Environment, Natural Resources Management, Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction.
Prior to joining IIRR, Sparks worked as strategic behavior communication associate at Health & Development Communication Experts, HIV/AIDS program Manager at TTC Mobile, Small Grants Assistant at the American Embassy and at The AIDS Support Organization in the capacities of: Project Coordinator-youth activities, Acting advocacy and mobilization officer, and Projects and planning Assistant. On the international level, Sparks was the country program manager TTC mobile for Zambia/Malawi, Assistant District HIV/AIDS coordinator in Malawi with Voluntary Services Overseas.
