Under the Scaling Up Climate Resilient Agriculture (SUCRA) Project funded by IFAD, IIRR organized a farmers’ field day. The purpose of the field days is to promote local sharing of knowledge and Integrated Farming Systems (IFS) in 23 target villages in the Pursat and Kampong Chhnang provinces. In these provinces, 1,500 IFS farmers have already been selected and trained by IIRR on IFS.

These trade fairs aimed to promote local agriculture products, such as banana, durian, passion fruit, mangosteen, and vegetables, to markets. During the event, participants discussed the objectives and activities of producer groups, examined market standards of buyers on agricultural products, sought the cooperation and support of local authorities and relevant market actors on the establishment and function of farmer groups, and identified areas for improvement. Farmer producer groups also had the chance to showcase their agricultural products.
